Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of tower cranes to ensure all components are functioning properly and safely.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and replacements of parts to extend crane lifespan.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and software, ensuring timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, conducting safety audits and addressing potential hazards proactively.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and reports to track repairs, services, and parts inventory effectively.
• Collaborate with site managers and operators to understand crane performance and operational requirements.
• Install and dismantle tower cranes, ensuring proper setup to meet project specifications and safety standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in crane technology to enhance service delivery.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics on best practices and safety measures in crane maintenance.
• Participate in emergency response drills and procedures to ensure readiness for any unforeseen incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical systems is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with tower cranes or similar heavy machinery.
• Certification from a recognized body in crane mechanics or relevant fields is a must.
• Proven experience in electrical and hydraulic systems, with a strong understanding of crane operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to maintenance and repairs.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on equipment status.
• Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions, adhering to safety standards.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the role, including lifting heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards specific to tower crane operations and maintenance.
