Job Title: Social Impact Business Developer

Report to: VP of Partnerships

Job Summary:

The Social Impact Business Developer will play a critical role in expanding our reach and impact within the not-for-profit sector. This individual will be responsible for identifying and cultivating partnerships with not-for-profit and other organizations aligned to our vision, understanding their needs, and providing access to a tailored skills development platform and all our associated support resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the not-for-profit landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify Opportunities:

• Conduct market research to identify potential not-for-profit partners.
• Analyze opportunities for each potential partner within the social impact sector.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the needs and challenges faced by not-for-profit organizations and propose our solutions to them.
• Grow our network of partners using our skills development platform.

Develop and Implement Strategies:

• Create and execute strategic plans to engage and partner with not-for-profit organizations.
• Develop customized proposals and presentations to meet the specific needs of potential partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for partnership initiatives.
• Provide to prospects demos, host meetings, present at events, create outreach campaigns.

Relationship Management:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the not-for-profit sector.
• Act as a liaison between our organization and not-for-profit partners, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
• Provide ongoing support and resources to partners to maximize the impact of collaborations.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership initiatives.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes.
• Utilize feedback and data to continuously improve strategies and approaches.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field in Canada.
• Proven track record of success in the not-for-profit sector within Canada.
• Experience developing and managing partnerships with not-for-profit organizations.

Skills and Competencies:
• Strong understanding of the not-for-profit landscape and social impact initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in learning management systems.
• High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
