THALES are looking to recruit a dedicated Senior UK Workplace Delivery Manager to play a key role in leading the successful performance of the Real Estate function delivering high standards of customer experience. Supporting the delivery of Real Estate projects and tasks including the role out of digital solutions. You will be based at Templecombe, Crawley or Reading as your office location but happy to travel to our other sites as and when needed. What can we offer you? To manage the Workplace Team in delivering services across the UK by: • Be the principle point of contact for all FM related issues escalated at Site level • Manage the operational relationship with the IFM Service provider and ensure the contract is delivered consistency across the UK, and is supported by a robust suite of reports. • Support the IFM Service provider in addressing issues created by Thales and work with the Site Directors on integrating the IFM Service provider into the site • Engaging with Real Estate functional leads and subject matter experts in resolving operational and business critical activities/ risk • Management of the Mitie variable cost • Management of the small works capital repair budget on a site by site basis. • Support the UK Head of Workplace in ensuring financial targets are managed and delivered • To support the UK Head of Workplace in conjunction with our IFM partner to develop, evolve and deliver a future proofed asset management strategy including but not limited to: • The development, implementation and maintenance of an effective lifecycle plan for all assets across the UK portfolio. To include a full risk profile •
To optimise asset lifecycle through capital investment plans • To ensure compliant and efficient asset management in line with Thales business objectives in line with budget. Testing the norms of maintenance planning. • To be responsible for supporting the UK businesses as directed by the UK Head of Workplace including understanding, supporting and delivering their workplace requirements; in particular: • To provide process leadership, proactively challenging current and understanding future business requirements • To be aware of and provide input into bids and programmes that have a Real Estate / Workplace requirement • To actively lead the optimisation of the Thales UK workplace to reflect demand and business requirements in support of the wider optimisation of the UK real estate portfolio
• To manage Workplace small works capital project delivery where required • Own and manage the energy/carbon reduction plan through the IFM provider: • The analysis and reporting of data against agreed objectives to ensure compliance • Articulate the plan and create reporting dashboards • Integrate the plan with stakeholders and business partners • To support the UK Head of Workplace in developing and managing the UK Real Estate risk management plan by: • Managing the Insurance Risk Program and resulting actions through capital investment, minor project and reactive works through to completion and sign off via the insurance assessor as required Who are we looking for? • A customer focussed team player with clear and at least 5 years’ experience in a management role within Real Estate/Facilities Management. Ideally with performance management and leadership experience gained within a fast moving, multi-stakeholder corporate environment. • Previous experience of managing an IFM outsource contract an advantage • A motivated self-starter, capable of working on own initiative with a high level of integrity to lead and deliver key tasks. • An FM Generalist with hard services, HVAC and M+E bias preferable with a forward thinking approach. A proactive interest in Energy and Environment is an advantage.
• A confident communicator, resourceful and proactive, with extensive stakeholder engagement and management experience. The ability to influence, guide and challenge stakeholders is essential • Working knowledge of developing and presenting Real Estate financial business cases, including options review and analysis along with budget management experience. • Ability to develop, implement and evolve strategies including asset management and lifecycle.
• Experience of building and capital projects an advantage • Good communication skills at all levels. • The ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities. • The ability to operate across organisational boundaries – in a matrix-style organisation. • The ability to be flexible and provide a helpful, positive approach to the requirements of the role.
