Job description
The Neighbourhood Network is a registered charity based in Hull, aiming to support the coming together of residents, empowering them to build safer, stronger, and healthier communities.
Last year the Neighbourhood Network added an exciting new project to its portfolio of work, in taking over the management of the Alf Marshall Community Centre, in heart of Bransholme. The centre is now a hive of activities and services for the community and the team are looking for the right person to develop this project further and support across all Neighbourhood Network Projects.
The Neighbourhood Network team are seeking a passionate, professional, customer focused Community Project Coordinator that will support the Neighbourhood Network Managers and trustees in delivering varied activities and services to meet the needs of the local community and beyond. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working within the Voluntary and Community Sector and will have previous experience in a customer focused role.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
· Booking and managing the availability of the meeting/event rooms
· Setting up the meeting/event rooms to meet customer needs.
· Ensuring a positive customer experience for visitors to the community centre
· Encouraging and supporting the charity’s volunteers
· Support with organising events and activities
· Updating the charity’s websites and social media accounts in an accurate and timely manner
· Communicating key messages
· Working with third party organisations in supporting residents across the city
· Representing the charity at meetings and events
· Supporting the managers with health and safety of the community centre
