Senior QA Specialist

As a Senior QA Specialist at Rival Insurance Technology, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will develop and execute testing strategies, identify software issues, analyze bugs, and collaborate with the development team to enhance user experience and improve software quality.

Responsibilities:

– Create and implement comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring thorough test coverage and alignment with quality standards.
– Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
– Provide support to the quality team, support in the mentoring junior testers, and foster a collaborative and innovative environment conducive to high-quality software development.
– Identify, diagnose, and report software defects and anomalies.
– Develop and execute functional, regression, performance, and usability tests.
– Analyze and document bugs, including root causes and impacts.
– Execute functional regression, performance, and usability tests to identify software problems.
– Analyze test results, documenting detailed descriptions of identified issues and providing actionable insights for resolution.
– Work closely with developers to improve software quality.
– Implement best practices for test automation, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
– Stay updated on trends and advancements in software testing.
– Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
– 6+ years in software quality assurance/testing roles, with a strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
– Proficiency in testing techniques and methodologies, including manual and automated testing approaches.
– Experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman).
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex software systems and identify root causes of issues.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
