Requirements
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – this is essential
• Right to work in UK – this is essential
• Enhanced DBS on the update service – this is preferred
• 2 relevant professional references – this is essential
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 & KS4
• Demonstrated ability to deliver dynamic and captivating science lessons that inspire and engage students.
• Strong communication skills, with a knack for motivating and connecting with learners.
• Adaptability to varying classroom dynamics and a dedication to exploring progressive teaching techniques.
Responsibilities
• Craft and deliver immersive, hands-on science lessons spanning various scientific fields
• Facilitate real learning experiences for the children
• Innovate and think creatively in delivering the curriculum
• Assess student progress through various methods and regularly update on student progress
• Ensuring safety and well-being of students is a top priority
• Creating and presenting inspiring science lessons
• Complete risk assessments and preparations for practicals
• Marking and assessing student’s work
• Ensure students are working towards objectives and the science curriculum
• Manage the classroom to support all student’s learning needs
