Scale 5/6* £30,825 – £41,418 per annum (pro rata)

37 hours per week

Fixed term for 18 months

Blaby District Council are looking to recruit Transformation Officers to support the delivery of our Blaby District Council Transformation Strategy and embed a culture of continuous improvement. Working within Transformation and Projects, you will be part of a focused team of dedicated professionals, providing specialist transformation and project management support and advice across the organisation.

Our work is tremendously varied, ranging from detailed problem solving, delivering major projects to engaging with senior leaders and members, every day presents different challenges and rewards.

As a Transformation Officer, you will work across the council to improve services for our residents. You will provide constructive challenge whilst empowering colleagues to take control of service improvements. You will be innovative, resilient and have an eye for detail, identifying and delivering tangible benefits to support the delivery of our MTFS.

Supporting your ability to focus both on the detail and the bigger picture, you will be self-driven, a good listener, have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a wide range of stakeholders. You will demonstrate emotional intelligence and awareness of the impact of change, working with colleagues to deliver meaningful transformation.

You will have practical experience of digital transformation and efficient process control, knowledge of MS365 products and the ability to quickly understand bespoke specialist systems. You do not need a background in local government for this role. Successful candidates will demonstrate agility of thought and customer focus combined with a commercial outlook.

• This job description covers grade scales 5 and 6. Appointment / progression to the higher scale will be managed according to the Blaby District Council recruitment policy and will depend on consistent and frequent undertaking of duties at a higher level, demonstration of autonomy and effective management of ambiguity.
