Job Summary
Take a leadership role assisting the Associate Director overseeing core functions and continually looking for ways to improve controls and service level to the CMIG business. Which includes reviewing new products and initiatives and maintaining a strong working relationship with the business and other internal stakeholders.
Job Description
• Act as a floater to cover other desks during vacation in collaboration with junior team members.
• Ensure prompt resolution of issues related to any mortgage settlements.
• Review and provide approvals on Journal Posting and settlements.
• Ensuring that process manuals are up to date, continually drive cross-train on all tasks within the team to maintain coverage.
• Provide training to team members.
• Investigate and resolve 3-way-reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Oversee the monthly GL accounts attestation within the prescribed deadlines.
Must-have
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail; ability to learn quickly and problem solve.
• Work effectively and reliably under pressure with minimal supervision; team player.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Solid PC (Microsoft Excel, Word) and analytical skills. Advanced skills in Excel are a requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5+ years of financial services experience.
Nice-to-have
• Experience/working knowledge of Mortgages/MBS & Derivatives products and processing procedures
• Good working knowledge of various Systems: MHUB, Slim, People Soft, Infinity/Murex, OBI, IRIS etc.
• Other technical skills such as Python, VBA or SQL
