Job description

As a French as a Second Language teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French to non-native learners. You will use effective pedagogical methods to facilitate the learning of the French language, taking into account the specific needs and skill levels of the students.

LaSalle College Montreal

Status:

Contract – Fall 2024 session

Salary:

Between $21.19 and $26.53/hour

Responsibilities

• Schedule lessons;
• Deliver courses in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner;
• Administer and correct assessments;
• Monitor each student and encourage success;
• Be available for monthly paid teacher meetings and regular professional development opportunities offered by LAB;
• Other related tasks.

Requirements

• Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
• Hold a bachelor’s degree;
• Recognized TESL Canada certificate or equivalent;
• More than one year of full-time FSL teaching experience in Canada preferred.

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role.
