JOB SUMMARY
The Test Production Specialist 2 is responsible for collaborating with the Curriculum department to produce and format tests based on provided content. This role involves entering and formatting content in the district’s assessment platform, ensuring correct display for both paper and online testing, and setting up accommodations and test settings accurately. The Specialist 2 has a high attention to detail to avoid errors that could impact the validity of tests for students.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enter test content provided by the Curriculum department into the district’s assessment platform.
• Format content to ensure it displays correctly for both paper and online testing.
• Set up test accommodations and ensure all test settings are configured accurately.
• Utilize a tracker to manage workflow and monitor progress on test production tasks.
• Maintain regular communication with the Curriculum department to clarify content requirements and receive feedback.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
• Demonstrate high attention to detail in all aspects of test production to prevent mistakes.
• Stay updated on new features and updates to the assessment platform.
• Suggest and implement improvements to test production processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay informed about changes in State assessment design and incorporate them into test production.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in an office setting.
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
• Proven experience in a supervisory or administrative role with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and communication tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and internal stakeholders
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
- Work and tasks are often straightforward, routine, structured and guided by established policies and procedures. Little, if any, independent judgment is required, outside of making basic choices in the selection and application of established methods. The job receives frequent, ongoing supervision.
BUDGET AUTHORITY
- No budget development activity is required.

- Decisions are made on routine matters affecting few individuals and usually within the confines of the job’s own department. Specific job activities and results are typically reviewed closely. There are limited requirements for developing new ideas or changes in methods, procedures, or services.

- Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

- Information sharing – gives and receives information such as options, technical direction, instructions and reporting results. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor and co-workers in own and other departments.

- Follows through with customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. Forwards difficult and non-routine inquiries or requests to appropriate level for resolution.
WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
• Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.
