Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our Data team. The Data QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets through rigorous quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data quality concepts, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of our data assets.

Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to identify data quality issues and root causes.

Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to understand data requirements and quality expectations.

Design and execute data quality tests and validation procedures to verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.

Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reports to track the performance of data quality initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Investigate and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner, working closely with stakeholders to address root causes and implement corrective actions.

Provide data quality training and support to users and stakeholders to promote data governance best practices and awareness.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data quality management.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field

· 3-5 years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or related roles

· Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices

· Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying (including aggregations, joins and knowledge on how to validate data)

· Scripting experience – ability to write scripts to automate data validation (Python)
• Working knowledge of testing frameworks – PyTest or unitest in Python

· Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data profiling techniques, and data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in data quality management or related areas (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Information Quality Professional) are a plus.
• Banking knowledge is a plus.
• Working experience with AWS Suite is a plus.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
