SOC Analyst – UK/Remote – £40k-45K + Bonus MUST HAVE FULL RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK *SPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLE* A growing MSP is looking for an experienced SOC Analyst who wants to work in a team where cyber security is the heart of everything they do! In this team, you will monitor networks and systems, detect security threats, analyse and assess alerts, and report on threats, intrusion attempts and false alarms, through either resolution or escalation. SOC Analyst Responsibilities: Conduct in- depth, thorough analysis of network traffic and host activity across a wide range of technologies and platforms. Triage, investigate and respond to wide range of incidents and confidently close or escalate incidents including the use of response actions.
Engage in proactive threat research and hunting and possess the ability to suggest or create detection rules, controls and security gap analysis. Maintain strong standards and consistent application to duties particularly around incident management, reporting and communication. Communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to a variety of stakeholders. SOC Analyst Requirements: Previous experience working in a SOC operations or MDR service role Extensive experience with technologies such as SIEM, Endpoint Detection, SOAR, Firewalls etc Experienced using Microsoft technology stack (Sentinel, Azure, Intune, Defender etc) Background working with host and network analysis.
Good understanding of attacker techniques, tactics and procedures and associated frameworks – think Attack Lifecycle, Kill Chain, Mitre etc Ability to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to personnel at all levels of experience and responsibility Industry recognised security certifications (GIAC, Cloud, Comptia & vendor based i.e Cisco,Palo Alto, Microsoft etc) If you would like to hear more information about this exciting opportunity I would love to hear from you!
