Excited about working in rapidly growing fintech? We’re on the search for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer. This role is for an innovative individual with the desire to build and architect products using the latest technologies.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you’ll be working in a collaborative, friendly and experienced team. The role is a full-time permanent position which comes complete with a competitive package. We’re headquartered in Gloucester and operate flexible policies in line with remote working.

Responsibilities

• You will help drive development and testing best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

• You will be exposed to leading design principles and development architectures such as event driven development and will need a proactive problem-solving approach.

Skills & Experience

• Organised and a strong team player who values collaboration.

• Strong communicator with ability to express ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experienced with agile techniques such as Scrum and Kanban

• Mentoring and knowledge sharing

• Experience with dotnet, c#, Blazor, vue.js, react and react native. We use Jest, xUnit, bUnit, Specflow and Playwright for testing.

• Experience designing and developing automated UI tests

• Experience writing test frameworks for API, web and mobile applications

• Understand business requirements and turn these into acceptance criteria, help support our teams to test our work in line with the testing pyramid.

• Demonstrable experience in a risk-based approach to testing and the importance of automation and regression testing in combination with manual and exploratory testing.

• Experienced with test driven development, ensuring code is robust and reliable.

• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment and use of version control (GIT).

• Experienced and understanding of a range of databases and their use-cases including MariaDB, Azure search, CosmosDB, and SQL Server and how to test against these.

• Experienced in a range of technologies including messaging systems, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with a variety of Coding Design and Architectural Patterns.
