Job Description
Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for encoding and releasing of credit limits relating to credit facilities and ensuring accurate detailing before inputting the same into the Bank’s system. Further, he/she is responsible for complying with approval terms for FAB Head Office, representative offices and international branches in compliance with the approval conditions.
Key Accountabilities:
Generic Accountability
• Encoding/Authorizing of credit limits related to credit facilities and ensuring accurate detailing before inputting/authorizing the same into the Bank’s system.
• Maintaining accuracy with regards to application of interest rates, commission, charges and management fees.
• Processing/Authorizing day-to-day transactions – Loan draw downs, processing tickets, Progress Payment Certificate discounting and dropping and adjusting overdraft against shares as per daily shares valuation report.
• Carrying out monthly activities such as review of limits in GLCMS, amendment of interest rates of Overdraft pricing linked to Fixed Deposit and deferring loan instalments or extending loan maturity date. • Liaising with FINCON for provisioning of accounts, customer grade changes, suspension of interest changes and passing write-off entries.
• Issuing IOMs to TBO-Loans for loan draw downs, repayment changes, loan settlements and collection of multiple fees like management fees, commitment fees, processing fees.
• Issuing instructions to TBO-ACC for release of excess margin held against facilities as per approval.
• Issuing Liability and No Liability Letters for the customers.
• Maintaining Bank and Country Limits as per approval.
• Maintaining up to date interest rates codes in the Bank’s system.
• Preparing Monthly Activity Report on rotation illustrating the total volume of transactions processed by the department in each month.
• Preparing and analyzing various reports requested by the Unit Head/HOCAD/Senior Management.

• Risk Management Unit, Operations, Treasury, Islamic Banking, SME & Personal Banking Group, Trade Finance Department, Relationship Managers, Credit Mid Office, IT, CCS, Legal Dept.
External:
• Insurance companies, FAB Broker & Real Estate Companies.
Job Context:
Specific Accountability
• Adherence to credit policies and procedures.
• Turn Around Time for processing documentation & limits encoding requests.
• Monitoring expiring / expired guarantees in favor of the Bank.
• Contribution to business growth by supporting CIB.
• Timely submission of reports.
• Provide full guidance, training, technical support & interpretation of credit policy & work procedures to team members and new staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance. 3-5 years’ experience in SME & Personal Banking with at least 3 years’ experience in the Corporate / CAD function.
Minimum Experience
• Knowledge and use of banking software systems, basic PC skills and common MS applications like Excel and Word.
• Good knowledge of English language (both written and spoken).
• Good knowledge of Bank’s financial system.
• Very good knowledge of Banking Products / SME & Personal Banking Credit Administration functions.
• Good knowledge of U.A.E. legal environment & Central Bank regulations.
• Team worker, ability to work under pressure, fast learner, attention to details.
