Robotics Navigation Engineer:

Position:

As a Robotics Navigation Engineer in the Engineering team, you will join our talented team of engineers to work on innovative projects by enhancing our core capabilities to advance, innovate, and deliver solutions for our local and international clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement navigation algorithms for autonomous robots, including path planning, localization, and obstacle avoidance.
• Design and optimize real-time systems for robot navigation in dynamic and unstructured environments.
• Work with sensor data (LiDAR, cameras, GPS, IMU) to enable accurate robot localization and mapping.
• Implement SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithms to improve autonomous navigation capabilities.
• Integrate and test navigation systems with robotic hardware, ensuring smooth operation across various scenarios.
• Collaborate with perception, control, and software teams to create robust navigation stacks.
• Conduct testing and validation of navigation algorithms in simulation environments and real-world applications.
• Optimize navigation algorithms for computational efficiency and reliability in real-time systems.

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in robotics navigation systems development.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for developing navigation algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of SLAM, path planning, and motion control algorithms.
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and integrating navigation modules in robotic platforms.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion and working with sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, GPS, and IMU.
• Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo or similar for testing navigation systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
