Project Purchaser

The position

As a Project Purchaser you will be responsible for the operational procurement of mainly technical materials & services and fulfilment of these orders for our global projects. You will work closely with the project team and the finance department. In this role you will report to the Supervisor Supply Chain Project Support.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with your colleagues and various internal stakeholders. With our relatively small team, we are looking for a team player with a proactive attitude. We will embrace your input to improve our way of working. You will report directly to the PSC Operation Lead in Head Office.

Together with the team, you will focus on further professionalizing and automating our workflow to provide the best support for our organization. Every day is different, and that’s exactly what keeps you motivated!

In this versatile role, you are independent and have no trouble maintaining focus in a hectic environment. Administration has no secrets for you, and you know better than anyone how to handle all your tasks smoothly and competently.

Desired Candidate Profile

Your responsibilities

In summary, your responsibilities include:

*Support with creating Purchase Orders (PO’s) for projects in EMEA region.

*Support with creating general Overhead PO’s for the Dubai office.

*Work closely with Finance department for missing PO’s & required changes in the PO.

*Support with the roll-out of No PO No Pay in EMEA region.

*Provide the EMEA offices and projects with the needed technical support of the purchasing system.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a stress-resistant person who wants to act as initiator and contact person for improvement projects. Within the Purchasing Department, you proactively take up proposals for improvement of the organisation, processes and methods.

In addition, you should have

*Completed secondary vocational education with at least 4 years of experience or a higher professional education with at least 1 year of experience, preferably within a technical / maritime environment;

*Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing;

*Excellent communication skills, you are persuasive and result oriented;

*A hands-on, service-oriented mentality and you take ownership;

*Willingness to travel and visit projects (mainly in UAE) on an occasional basis;

*Knowledge of Logistics and Incoterms is an advantage.
