Our esteemed client, a prominent manufacturing company specializing in oil and gas processing equipment, is currently in search of a skilled Welder to join their production facility. The role involves collaborating with the production welders’ team, utilizing gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and ensuring the quality of all components through thorough checks.

Responsibilities

– Work in production facility and communicate with direct supervisor and the whole welder team daily
– Accurately use a measuring tape and read and interpret blueprints
– Participate in pressure vessels welding and ensure the vessels matching the engineering drawings and code requirements
– Conduct quality control checks for welding integrity
– Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes including gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)

Qualifications

– Journeyman or currently in 2nd or 4th year of apprenticeship
– General fabrication or manufacturing experience
– A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
– Comfortable with height
– Capable of sustained physical effort while working with light and medium weight components
– Willingness to undergo pre-employment testing (Randstad will provide after interviews)
– Must have legal authorization to work in Canada (Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit)
– Please note this work location is not transit accessible and your own transportation is a must
