• Be directly accountable to the school principal
• Communicate and engage students effectively in the subject matter
• Assist with the organization of courses of study in cooperation with school learning objectives and in compliance with accreditation processes
• Prepare a systematic plan for instruction that includes a statement of general and specific learning objectives with time allotted for each unit, strategies employed during instruction to increase student engagement in the learning process, and methods of evaluation
• Keep accurate, complete, and timely records of student’s grades and attendance
• Evaluate and grade fairly by grading policies
• Assume responsibility at all times for students assigned to his/her care
• Give prompt attention to routine classroom matters:*
• Textbook and equipment records
• Student records (cumulative folders, report cards, conference records, etc.)
• Accurate reporting of classroom
