About the Role:
We are seeking a Part-Time Customer Service and Transport Administration Assistant for our site in Avonmouth. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, administration, and transport, with a strong knowledge of Bristol and the surrounding areas. While experience in transport is not essential, the right candidate should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a professional phone manner to handle various inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service and keep customers informed about their orders.
• Respond to queries promptly via phone and email.
• Coordinate with partner depots to ensure smooth processes.
• Communicate order and delivery statuses to customers.
• Book delivery dates, process customer orders, and update key spreadsheets.
• Liaise with drivers and assist the Transport Manager with daily tasks.
• Handle finance-related tasks, such as costing jobs and providing quotations.
• Process delivery paperwork and manifests within daily timescales.
Required Attributes:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Track record of excellent customer service
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
• Transport or operational experience is a bonus
Work Schedules / Other:
• Core office hours are 08:00 – 13:00 hrs, Monday – Friday
• Office based role with on-site parking
• Permanent position
