KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Description of Roles & Responsibilities) Develop, maintain, and enforce Safety Policies and Procedures in accordance with all local EHS and facilities-related regulations and codes. Manage, coordinate, and plan essential central services i.e. security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and recycling; Coordinate and/or lead staff members’ training to improve work quality, and ensure safety and compliance with Dubai/UAE regulations:Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and training events, and execute any immediate changes required to work practices for health and safety purposes. Oversee any emergency response activities. Manage preventative/predictive maintenance systems and activities. Assist in the selection of vendors and negotiate contracts. Conduct high-level troubleshooting of building equipment. Administer school compliance with regulatory permits. Prepare applications, develop initiatives for the purpose of the implementation of regulations, and adapt written programs as necessary. Report to management on the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of facilities services. Supervise the school’s maintenance, grounds, and cleaning staff. These duties include coordination of staff members professional growth, accountability, scheduling and teamwork;Inspect school facilities for the purpose of ensuring that the facilities are suitable for safe operations, and maintained in an attractive and clean condition;Coordinate the purchasing of furniture, fixtures, and equipment related to the operation of the school;Determine the type, amount, and proper delivery of maintenance, grounds, and cleaning materials to support the department in the efficient delivery of its duties;Estimate the time and materials costs of proposed projects for the purpose of informing budgeting, planning, and accountability of actual project costs;Track and communicate the status of project requests to requestors and other interested parties to ensure timely feedback and accountability. Planned, scheduled, and oversaw routine preventative maintenance tasks on roofs, air conditioning, and water equipment.Coordinate appropriate facilities set-up, arrangement, and technical equipment for a variety of activities (such as special events, guest speakers, pep rallies, and athletic events); Other Duties:Support the school’s mission and culture, to have good attendance, and to be a positive team player.Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the Principal and Management Team;Contribute to the development of the facilities budget in consultation with the principal;Visit other schools, meeting regulatory requirements, evening and weekend duties, etc.; Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met for the KHDA inspection
