Job Description

Position Overview:

As the IT Manager for Pathlab Singapore (PLSG), you will serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in IT management, technical implementation, support, and a profound understanding of healthcare IT systems and regulatory mandates.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will undertake tasks assigned by the Regional IT Manager, including but not limited to:

Strategic IT Planning:

Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with PLSG’s business objectives and operational requirements.

Operations Management:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT systems, including Cyberlab LIS, hardware, software, telecommunications, networks, and infrastructure. This involves hands-on troubleshooting and operational implementation to ensure reliability, security, and performance.

Project Management:

Plan, execute, and supervise IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Implement corrective actions as necessary to meet project goals.

Government Liaison:

Act as the main liaison with technical entities within Singapore government agencies, such as Synapse and HPB, for project implementations, system interfacing, troubleshooting, and other technical requirements.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive data and information assets.

Ensure compliance with relevant Singaporean IT health system regulatory requirements and other standards.

Software Development Management:

Manage all software development projects, whether in-house or external, including the preparation of all related documentation.

Engage in hands-on development projects as needed.

Job Requirements

At least 2 to 4 years of relevant lab system support experience

Experience with scientific instrumentation especially Siemens, Roche etc and

documentation

Strong technical skill ie can deal with HL7, TCP/IP communication protocol, IT system

development projects, software integration etc

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed

timeframes

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm

Saturday: 8.30 am to 1.00 pm
