Do you have a passion for designing effective digital and blended learning experiences? Wavelength is one of New Zealand and Australia’s leading digital learning agencies, working across both the education sector and workplace learning and development. We’re in an exciting period of growth and we’re looking for the right person to lead our United Kingdom Learning Experience Design team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a team of in-house Learning Experience Designers and supporting our network of contract learning designers.
• Leading needs analysis and concept generation across a range of projects, ensuring all solutions are designed to achieve clear learning outcomes.
• Working with our wider design team to deliver innovative learning solutions that create real impact for our clients.
• Providing quality assurance across all learning deliverables and providing feedback to the team.
• Providing consultancy and advice to clients on the most effective learning methodologies and technologies.
• Supporting our sales team to help develop proposals and deliver client pitches.

As an ideal candidate you will:

Have relevant work experience at a learning consultant or digital learning manager level, preferably in corporate or an agency environment.

• Have experience leading a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment.
• Have proven experience at conducting needs analysis and designing innovative solutions for both simple and complex projects.
• Be comfortable facilitating discovery/scoping sessions with a range of stakeholders, including those in senior positions.
• Have proven ability to manage difficult situations, e.g. challenging meetings, shifting/competing deadlines, and managing client expectations.
• Have demonstrated ability to collaborate with other designers and provide and accept feedback during the design process.
• Have experience with applying Human Centred Design or Design Thinking.
• Have a keen interest in digital and seek inspiration from outside the traditional L&D or elearning channels.

We’ll provide you with variety, challenge, flexible working, the chance to learn new skills, and a great team dynamic. So if you fit the bill and want to help us reinvent digital learning we’d love to hear from you.
