General Assistant Welsh House Farm Community School, Welsh House Farm Road, Quinton, Birmingham , B32 2NG Permanent Grade 2 – £22,737 – £24,702 Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review 10 hrs hours per week working times are Monday – Friday term time only including 3 days in school holidays 5 teacher training days Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchen across the UK, healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils. As a General Assistant, your responsibilities will include: • Preparing and cooking meals for pupils • Planning and controlling all aspects of the service

Assist keeping the kitchen clean & tidy. • Setting up the dinning areas for lunch/ serving the pupil’s lunch • To be aware of the care users’ needs and dietary preferences including allergens • You will work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in school’s kitchens. Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role About You; Essential: • Good people skills • Passion about food and customer service • Great team player • Food Safety Level 2 • Good verbal and written communication skills • Allergy Awareness Certificate • Experience in a similar environment • High standards and quality drive • A ‘can do’ attitude You must upload a Supporting Statement via the attachments part of your application.
