Job Summary You will be providing high quality supplier financial risk analysis and making recommendations as part of supplier selection and ongoing commercial agreement management. You will provide real time support and guidance, act as a trusted adviser and contribute to the CCS customer value proposition. You will be required to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise a varied workload whilst maintaining a focus on detail and accuracy. We are recruiting for two posts within Commercial Finance. One post will focus on support to commercial colleagues in the post-award assurance delivery, the other will involve working with a third party to deliver financial assessments during live procurements. Both roles will support the organisation with adhoc financial risk queries and both will be expected to provide cover for the other as required. Team Summary This fantastic and rare opportunity sits in the Commercial Finance Team which supports CCS to manage financial risk for over 10,000 suppliers. Our team really makes a difference working with procurement operations to deliver commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with financial stability policy and delivering value for our customers through performing financial risk assurance activities. Responsibilities Liaising with external suppliers and colleagues to process financial risk Creating risk evaluation reports by reviewing financial information, applying financial ratios and providing concise conclusions Act as a trusted partner to commercial teams as they develop commercial agreements to identify the risk tier and develop financial selection criteria Coordinate activity with Procurement Operations to ensure timely processing of bidder financial data Monitor third party performance and delivery of assessments in accordance with expectations and specified key performance criteria Input to the commercial finance systems and reporting, enabling timely, high quality reports to Procurement Operations and Category teams Identify and lead on initiatives to develop the commercial Finance service offering Engage with Cabinet Office and other departments to share best practice and contribute to cross government risk management Communicate financial reports, processes and financial risk guidance in a simple, easy to understand manner Essential Criteria (to be assessed at application stage): Ability to deliver to strict deadlines and to work under pressure Highly organised with strong attention to detail Experience of interpreting financial information to identify financial risk Experience of working with multiple stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge Professional accounting qualification (minimum level of Part Qualified – ICAEW or equivalent) Desirable Criteria Experience of investment appraisal or credit control In the case of a high number of quality candidates desirable will be used a second sift.
