We are looking for a part time Domestic Assistant to work at Schoen Clinic Chelsea on a 24 hours per week contract. You will be required to work Monday to Friday ideally between 8am – 12pm or 2pm – 6pm or 7pm. There are opportunities for overtime if we are hosting any events.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will provide the housekeeping service to Schoen Clinic Chelsea, maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the unit, using approved cleaning materials, and adhering to infection control, and health and safety policies.

Key Accountabilities

• Clean floor areas by means of vacuuming, mopping, buffing and spray cleaning.
• Removal of rubbish from designated areas to correct disposal point.
• Clean sanitary areas, including toilets, sinks, shower cubicles, baths.
• Damp dust all surfaces, ledges, shelves and curtain rails.
• Clean internal glass, including windows, mirrors and other reflective surfaces.
• Clean chairs, tables and carpets where necessary.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas
• Carry out spot cleaning and spillage management as required, in line with infection control policies.
• Setting up the therapy rooms and checking to see if it is clean after use
• Checking and maintaining the coffee machines
• Report any issues of concern to General Manager.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and serviced in line with manufacturer’s requirements and best practice.
• Work according to Health and Safety policies and Schoen Clinic guidelines.

Skills & requirements

As a Domestic Assistant, you will have previous experience working in the capacity of a domestic cleaner or housekeeper within a school, hotel, hospital or care home environment and have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will also have the ability to work within health and safety guidelines and have awareness of good hygiene standards and infection control
