We’re looking for a Director of Family Office Relation for our client who is a Vancouver-based family office that specializes in providing advice-driven merchant banking services, capital markets distribution, and strategic advisory solutions.
The firm focuses on small to mid-market growth companies across North America, leveraging a robust network of retail and institutional investors to structure and execute equity and debt financings, M&A transactions, and go-public strategies. They are seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as the Director of Family Office Relations, a critical role in expanding the reach and deepening relationships with family office investors across North America.
Director of Family Office Relation responsibilities:
• Cultivate and manage relationships with key family offices across North America, serving as the primary point of contact between our bank and these investors.
• Lead the marketing and promotion of investment opportunities to family offices, ensuring alignment with their investment goals and strategies.
• Actively expand the bank’s network within the family office community, identifying and onboarding new investors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to structure investment opportunities in a way that maximizes appeal to family offices, balancing risk and return profiles.
• Provide ongoing communication and support to family office investors, including regular updates on portfolio performance, new opportunities, and market trends.
• Offer strategic insights and feedback to internal teams based on family office investor needs and preferences, helping to shape the bank’s investment offerings and approach.
• Event Participation: Represent the bank at industry conferences, networking events, and private meetings with family offices to enhance visibility and foster new relationships.
The successful candidate has:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or wealth management, with a focus on family office relations.
• Established and active network within the family office community across North America.
• Strong understanding of family office investment strategies, risk tolerance, and decision-making processes.
• Proven ability to market and sell investment opportunities to sophisticated investors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with high-net-worth individuals and their advisors.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to align investment opportunities with the specific needs of family offices.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
Compensation and benefits:
• The discussed salary range is $130,000 – $150,000, plus commission and bonuses depending on experience
