The Opportunity
Leavitt Cranes is looking for a skilled Crane Technician to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. As a Crane Technician, you will be responsible for preparing cranes for set-up and demobilization, on-site repairs and maintenance, and sales and rental services from our Aldergrove facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Crane Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
• Performing crane repairs, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial and company regulatory, safety, and operational procedures
• Preparing cranes for set-up and demobilization
• Maintaining accurate records as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
• Minimum two years of prior mechanical experience working with cranes
• Millwright, Heavy Equipment Technician, Industrial Electrician Inter-Provincial Red Seal, or Journey Person ticket an asset
• Experience on Terex, Potain, or mobile crane products an asset
• Exceptional trouble shooting skills, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineered drawings preferred
• Weld and cut skills an asset
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization including customers, management teams, work crews, and subordinates
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
• Must be comfortable working outdoors
• Valid driver’s license required

The base pay range for this role is: $45.23 to $52.26 per hour based on experience.
This is an onsite role based in Calgary, BC.
