Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Contract Specialist for a 6 months contract in Toronto. This position is a hybrid role 3 days a week. Thursday and Monday are mandatory, the third day is flexible. High potential for contract extension is possible.
Pay rate: $20.63 – $30.50 / Hour
Working hours: 9.00am to 5.00pm

Responsibilities

As a Contract Specialist your duties will include, but are not limited to:
●Preparing contractual agreements using current company templates
●Analyzing contracts to ensure they comply with company policies
●Liaising with internal business partners and external suppliers
●Negotiating with suppliers to secure best terms and pricing for the company

Qualifications

●2-4 years of previous experience with contracting best practices, business decision-making, in a Contract Specialist context with increasing scope of responsibility
●Post-Secondary degree/certification in logistics, business administration, law, purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent working experience
●Strong market awareness

Nice to have

●Applicable Contract Management, Procurement, Legal experience and/or certification
●Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. iValua, Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
●Finance and budgeting experience
●Experience in a financial institution
●Familiarity and experience with Professional Services
●Familiarity and experience with IT services
●Contract Reviewing/Creation Experience
●Word, Excel, PowerPoint
●Outlook Experience
●Comfortable in a high volume environment
