Job Purpose

Conduct economic analysis to support the NFXP Shipping team to deliver an expanded, efficient, and flexible QatarEnergy LNG Fleet that effectively and efficiently meets Qatar s LNG shipping demand resulting from the project, while also addressing various structural changes such as existing fleet expiration, Buyer s transported SPA expirations and other QatarEnergy projects.

Key Job Accountabilities

– IPerform analytical work associated with the vessel acquisition effort for the North Field Expansion, existing vessel replacements and other initiatives. inform and support all vessel acquisition decisions, provide supporting analysis (models) that is on long-term shipping cost projections for the Qatar LNG fleet.Provide a wide range of analytical work to the NFXP Shipping team to support operational, commercial, and economic decisions related to technology selection, contractual structures, ownership structures, shipping market industry, and various other items associated with the future of the Qatar fleet. Participate in logistics simulation modelling to the extent appropriate.Conduct economic and analytical work in support of contractual negotiations with shipyards and ship owners, including commercial support and analysis for all tender evaluations.Coordinate with external contractors as necessary to deliver analytical, commercial other support as required.Prepare initial drafts of bespoke economic evaluation tools for specific analysis as required to engage with NFXP stakeholders including technical staff from the NFXP Project team, QatarEnergy LNG, QatarEnergy and other shareholders to ensure buy-in and support of all major factors of the fleet expansion effort.

– IIPrepare initial drafts of bespoke economic evaluation tools for specific analysis as required to engage with NFXP stakeholders including technical staff from the NFXP Project team, QatarEnergy LNG, QatarEnergy and other shareholders to ensure buy-in and support of all major factors of the fleet expansion effort.Perform economic analysis to support initiatives and interfaces as required.Maintain and update information databases ensuring to ensure accuracy and relevance of data to assist in economic analysis as required to support the NFXP Shipping project.Compile information for briefings on industry counterparts to support decision making within the NFXP Shipping project.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in marine transportation, marine engineering, engineering, or business administration.Knowledge and/or Experience – I6 years experience in an analytical role in the energy sector.Basic knowledge of gas/oil industry bodies, national and international maritime and shipping regulations.Basic understanding and knowledge of safety, health, and environmental standards as they relate to the oil and gas industry and the marine environment.Technical and Business Skills – I Excellent written and spoken English skills. Basic knowledge of gas/oil industry bodies, national and international maritime and shipping regulations. Excellent analytical skills with an understanding of financial analysis and economic concepts. Strong MS Excel skills are required. High degree of flexibility and ability to demonstrate conceptual thinking skills. Strong presentation and report writing skills.
