We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Category Manager. The Category Manager – Surgical will be a subject matter expert in surgical products, driving category growth and supporting cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management and a deep understanding of the dental surgical market. This position is eligible to be remote anywhere across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

The Category Manager will lead our new surgical line of products by:

• Leading the strategic planning and execution for the surgical product line, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to optimize product offerings.
• Becoming the go-to expert for all products within the surgical category.
• Providing in-depth product knowledge and training to the sales team to enhance their ability to sell effectively
• Staying updated on the latest developments in surgical products and technologies.
• Collaborating closely with the sales team to develop sales strategies and tools that drive category growth.
• Developing and executing presentations and product demonstrations.
• Analyzing sales data and providing insights to improve sales performance and product adoption.
• Working with the marketing team to create and implement marketing campaigns that drive awareness and demand for the surgical product line.
• Developing and managing content for marketing materials, including brochures, product sheets, and digital content.
• Supporting trade shows, webinars, and other events to promote the product line.
• Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion based on market needs, customer feedback, and industry trends.
• Evaluating potential partnerships, suppliers, and product additions to enhance the category.
• Working closely with other member of the Merchandising team to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the dental or medical device industry.
• In-depth knowledge of dental surgical products, including current trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing market conditions.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
