Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in Meat Preparation
– Clean, trim, and portion meat under the guidance of the butcher
– Follow established procedures for handling and preparing various cuts of meat
Knife Skills (Preferable)
– Develop proficiency in the use of different knives and cutting techniques.
– Ensure safety and precision in all cutting tasks.
Equipment Operation
– Operate and maintain butchery equipment, such as meat mincer, tumbler, slicer, blast freezer, saws, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition
Cleaning and Sanitization
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment
– Follow sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Adherence to Regulations
– Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
– Follow company policies and procedures for handling and disposing of waste.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
– Previous experience in a similar role or a willingness to learn on the job
– Basic knowledge of meat cuts and different types of meat
– Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
– Good communication and teamwork skills
– Willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene standards
