Job description
We are a new Italian coffe shop selling artisan pastries, coffee, paninis and cakes.
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic shift leader to join our small team. As new team member you will be responsible for shop management , opening and closing ,providing exceptional customer service and preparing a variety of coffee, tea and food.
Responsibilities
• Oversee shop alone on quiet days
• Stock management/ ordering
• Drafting rota
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
• Menu ideas
• Operate espresso machines , grinders and other equipment to prepare beverages
• Adhering to EHO standards and company practises
• Food prep
• Suport the running of the shop through cleaning, serving and other general duties
• Right to work in the UK
• Lead and motivate the team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Provide training and support to staff in areas such as culinary techniques, hospitality practices, and customer service.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for excellent service at all times.
• Assist in the development of menus and special promotions to enhance customer experience
Skills
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years barista experience
• Proven experience in supervising teams within a culinary or hospitality setting.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide team members.
• Experience in bartending is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
• A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
