Associate Partner & Head of Tax Services

Description
We are looking for an Associate Partner & Head of Tax Services to join our Private Client Tax Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the service delivery to a large number of Tax Private Clients in line with CIOT rules and Company procedures, whilst continuing Progeny’s exceptionally high level of service.
The initial focus of the role will be to review the tax return function of Progeny Law and Tax by working with stakeholders within the team and across the business to better understand and implement changes to the structure, procedures, & policies that will drive efficiencies in the team and improve the client experience.
This role supports home-based or hybrid working, with occasional travel when required (Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh, London, Worthing, or Exeter).
Key Responsibilities
• To effectively manage the service delivery to a large number of Private Tax Clients (circa 3,500).
• Undertake a review of team structures, for around 20 people, considering the flow of work and utilisation of junior and tax consultant time.
• Consider existing technology and determine whether any changes can be made to help the team to ultimately benefit the client.
• Motivate the team and create a positive and productive working environment.
• Allocate new compliance client enquires, whilst having an oversight for the engagement process. Continue to actively manage allocations and ensure changes are made where necessary.
• Undertake and have oversight of projects which improve the compliance function of the team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• CTA qualified with significant post-qualification experience (Essential).
• Proven experience in managing a Tax Compliance team undertaking personal tax work for a large number of clients.
• Working in a high-performing environment to facilitate changes in processes and technology with a view to maximising service delivery and quality.
• Good awareness of raising advisory opportunities and encouraging cross referrals within the business.
• Experience in building and maintaining excellent relationships with their team and other key individuals within the business (both tax and other service offerings).
• Be able to work under pressure to deadlines, ensuring accuracy and high levels of attention to detail.
