Job Description

As an Airside Simulations Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced simulations of airside operations at airports. Your primary role will involve designing and creating realistic and interactive simulations that replicate the airside environment, including runways, taxiways, apron areas, and aircraft movements. You will collaborate with a team of aviation experts to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the simulations, aiding in training, research, and planning for airport operations. Your expertise in simulation software, data analysis, and aviation procedures will be crucial in enhancing the efficiency and safety of airside operations. Additionally, you will provide technical support and training to stakeholders using the simulations. A strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for aviation are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain realistic airside simulation scenarios for training purposes.
• Collaborate with aviation stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance of simulation content.
• Conduct training sessions and debriefs to enhance knowledge and skills of airside operations personnel.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of trainees during simulations to provide constructive feedback.
• Update and customize simulation software to align with evolving airside procedures and regulations.
• Support the integration of new technologies and equipment into airside simulation programs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to simulation hardware and software.
• Participate in the development of emergency response protocols and drills through simulated scenarios.
• Analyze data gathered from simulations to identify trends and areas for improvement in airside operations.
• Maintain documentation and records of simulation activities for compliance and reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with flight simulators and aviation software systems.
• Knowledge of airside operations and airport ground handling procedures.
• Familiarity with FAA and ICAO regulations pertaining to airside operations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
