Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant- Immediately Available

Salary: 15,000 + medical + air ticket

Our client a Global PR and Communication company is looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join their finance team. The AP Accountant will play a crucial role in managing vendor relationships, overseeing payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, handling bank reconciliations, and managing expense tracking. The ideal candidate has strong organisational skills, a deep understanding of AP procedures, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage the vendor onboarding process, ensuring all required documentation is collected and verified
– Maintain accurate vendor records in the accounting system, updating information as needed
– Serve as the main point of contact for vendor inquiries related to payments and account setup
– Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
– Coordinate with internal departments to verify and approve payments, ensuring compliance with company policies
– Reconcile and resolve any discrepancies in payment amounts or terms with vendors
– Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports, ensuring accuracy before approval
– Monitor invoice aging and prioritize timely payment to avoid late fees
– Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded
– Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
– Oversee the employee expense reimbursement process, verifying and processing expense reports in accordance with company policies.
– Maintain expense accounts, ensuring accurate allocation to the appropriate departments or projects
– Work closely with finance and HR teams to update and enforce expense management policies.

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting role
– Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills
– Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
– Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors
– Knowledge of basic accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
