Soft Services Manager
Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 40 (Monday – Friday 8am -5pm, with very occasional flexibility to cover part of night shifts)
Location: Stratford, E20 2AF

Job Description

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Soft Services Manager to lead a multiple-service facilities team at the new UCL campus’ in Stratford.
The Soft Services Manager would be responsible for the delivery of our client’s contract cleaning, FOH, waste, caretaking and security services that cover 2 large university campus’ in on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.

Responsibilities

You would be responsible for
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction
Managing a team of soft services staff (team of 20) ensuring they are properly trained, motivated etc
Ensuring the weekly contractual hours are delivered to each client
Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations including robust follow up on accidents / incidents
Monitoring and evaluate the quality of facility services provided while identifying areas for improvement etc
Undertaking regular audits including covering a night shift audit once a month
Ensuring equipment and materials orders are kept in stock.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

The successful candidate will have
Proven experience in facilities services, with a focus on soft services management
Experience working within an educational facility
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Strong customer service orientation, with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships
SMSTS and/or knowledge of Risk Assessments (would be beneficial)
IOSHH / NEBOSH qualification
